Jacqui and Luke tied the knot with a view of the ocean at the Half Moon Bay Golf Links. They were lucky with the weather and had sunshine and blue skies. The theme of the wedding was "yellow" which made for some sunny pictures with the bridesmaids. Luke surprised us with a twin brother who looked exactly like him! Fortunately his brother had grown a short beard, just so guests (and photographers) would not be confused. Still there were times when we'd find ourselves focusing on him by mistake! Oops! We also didn't know that Luke was a beer aficionado, his love for beer almost as great as Marcel's! 🙂 So the secondary theme was beer, beer, and more beer, from all over the world, all of Luke's favorites!
After the outdoor ceremony and family shots, we took off for the cliffs and the beach in golf carts and had a wonderful time with the bridal party who seemed game for anything. At the beach, the girls showed their superior strength by easily lifting Luke, whereas the guys had a hard time hoisting the very petite Jacqui!! We lucked upon someones landscape art, where they had etched into the sand "Life is Good" so the it could be viewed from the cliffs above. We used it to capture the the sentiment of this fun day with a very sweet couple. The sunset was gorgeous, and we were able to slip away after dinner to grab some gorgeous shots with just the bride and groom on the cliffs. The wind that picked up under Jacqui's veil just added to the beauty of the moment.
Later, we saw that this crowd knew how to party with a number of guests getting down low, spinning and performing for the rest, going through the beers and having a blast!
