Breanna & Matt’s Kunde Winery Wedding

Breanna and Matt first met at the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation annual retreat. Matt had received a grant for his non profit startup Kiva and Breanna had joined the foundation in the last year of the grant. Kiva is an amazing organization that alleviates poverty through lending. With some help from Facebook the two connected and the rest is history as they say. Breanna and Matt chose a gorgeous and rustic setting at Kunde Winery for affirming their wedding vows to each other. The Kunde winery is situated in the heart of the Sonoma Wine country and is one of the most sought after and elegant wedding venues in the area. They were specifically drawn to the Dunfillan ruins at the Kunde Family Estate, which was the perfect place to have a joyful yet solemn wedding ceremony. The old winery ruins consist of just the outer walls of the 19th Century building, spotted with porthole-like openings around the perimeter. Breanna's entrance was preceded by a "flower mob" consisting of a gaggle of girls of all ages flinging petals in the wind. The other reason they picked Kunde (besides the great wine which is always a good thing) was the fantastic reception area on Boot Hill, with it’s panoramic views of the vineyards and mountains. Breanna and Matt really wanted to create a relaxed outdoor atmosphere for their guests, who had traveled from all over the world. The reception site was beautifully prepared and the atmosphere could have not been better. During dinnertime speeches, Matt and some of his friends surprised guests with spirited acapella singing! Dinner was catered by The Girl and the Fig one of our favorite restaurants in Sonoma. This was followed by live music by the Swing Kings, lots of dancing, singing, and a lot of fun with kids and adults.
