We were excited to be shooting Lauren and Eugene's wedding at the Bentley Reserve. Both bride and groom got ready at Le Meridien hotel which is very conveniently located next door to this elegant San Francisco landmark. The couple was in high spirits but amazingly calm while getting ready. They first "glimpsed" each other at the curving stairway that is part of the Embarcadero center. We went straight into a photo shoot with the couple and took advantage of the downtown San Francisco location.
After the ceremony the main hall was converted into the reception venue with magenta lights, drapes and gorgeous flowers at the tables from Huckleberry Karen Flowers. At the same time cocktails and hor d'oevres were served on the veranda overlooking Battery Street. The transformation of the Bentley Reserve from ceremonial to reception site was amazing. After a fabulous dinner by Melons Catering the festivities really got started. This was a crowd that knew how to party and was not self-conscious about cutting loose on the dance floor (in a good way!) We know that the party went well into the night, as with his usual attention to detail. Eugene had scoped out how late all the surrounding bars would be open!
