Jayne and Drew’s Tilden Park Wedding

When we first met Jayne and Drew at our studio they told us about their love for music and how it was instrumental in them "hooking up." Six years ago, they met in a chat room on a now defunct internet radio station. Online chat quickly moved to the phone, which quickly moved to Drew flying out to California to meet Jayne. She flew back to Wisconsin a few times where Drew used to live, and they had a long distance romance for a while. In 2005, Drew drove out to the Bay Area to be with Jayne and after 5 years of living together and loving every minute of it, they decided to get married in the Bay Area. Jayne got ready at the Claremont Resort in Berkeley, in the tower suite right under the historic hotel's arched tower! Being high up on the top of the Claremont was quite an experience. We decided to set up their "first look" in the tower, which was very special to say the least. After their first look we walked around the Claremont to take some quick creative portraits, before heading to the Brazil Room in Tilden Park, where the wedding and reception were taking place. The Brazilian Room is a unique place, situated in Tilden Park, only a few minutes drive away from Berkeley. Once there, you totally forget how close you are to a major metropolitan area. The Brazilian Room is perfect for smaller more intimate weddings.  Jayne and Drew's ceremony  was beautiful and very emotional. The officiant and friend Marty Allen, was a last minute stand in, and saved the day!  After the ceremony the guests enjoyed a fun cocktail hour while we photographed the formals. The reception started off with some fun speeches and after a great meal everyone got to enjoy some amazing cupcakes that were artfully arranged. Jayne and Drew's musical friends provided much of the music during and after the ceremony. This couple's friends and family sure know how to cut a rug! Jayne and Drew were a pleasure to photograph and be around and we wish them a wonderfully happy married life together.
